


After I set up the still life for German Rye Bread, I made a detailed drawing on gesso board, 12" x 9".
For the compositon structure I used what I learned in William A. Schneider's workshop Design/Composition Secrets of the Masters, www schneiderart.com
Then I reduced the image to 60% and printed out two copies. I made a value study and a color study and painted directly on the paper.
Finally, I painted the image below.
