Conchas, Mexican Pastry

This Mexican pastry was fun to paint and since it can be bought almost anywhere, the supply and varieties are numerous and colorful. I especially liked loading the brush up with as much paint as I could to paint the sugary design on the top.

Got Dots?

Accepted into the Salon International 2011 exhibit 
at Greenhouse Gallery, 
San Antonio, Texas.
The exhibition opens on April 2, 2011 from 10.:00 am to 5:00 pm 
with "Meet the Artists" reception from 5:00-8:00 pm.

This visual pun was a lot of fun to paint and is self explanatory. 
It is 8" x 10, oil on gesso board. The price is $1200.00.
